Jimmy Brown (Irish republican) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Jimmy Brown (Irish republican) Jimmy Brown (1956 – 18 August 1992) was a Belfast member of the Irish Republican Socialist Party (IRSP), the Irish National Liberation Army (INLA), and the Irish People's Liberation Organisation (IPLO).〔(Paramilitary Feuds in Northern Ireland - A Chronology of Events ), cain.ulst.ac.uk; accessed 5 June 2014.〕〔Jack Holland & Henry McDonald, ''INLA - Deadly Divisions'', Publisher: Torc (1994); ISBN 189814205X/ISBN 978-1898142058, p. 125〕 Brown left the IRSP in the mid-eighties to join up with the IPLO. He was the leader of the Republican Socialist Collective, which was set up as the political wing of the IPLO. He was gunned down in his car on Clonard Street, Lower Falls, Belfast by the Irish Peoples Liberation Organisation Belfast Brigade (IPLOBB), a faction who opposed the IPLO leadership. A feud between the two groups was the cause of Brown's killing. The IPLO and IPLOBB were forcibly disbanded by the Provisional IRA in November 1992.〔 (IPLO/IPLOBB feud ), ulsternation.org.uk; accessed 5 June 2014.〕 Brown's son, Emmet McDonough Brown, was elected as an Alliance Party of Northern Ireland member of Belfast City Council at the Northern Ireland local elections, 2014.〔Liam Clarke, "(The past does not define my future, says son of murdered IPLO terrorist who's running for Alliance )", ''Belfast Telegraph'', 27 March 2014〕 ==Source==
